A NORTH SEA SAMPLER North Sea Jazz Festival *** (Hour 1 of 4) McCoy Tyner Septet. Silje Nergaard, and Joe Zawinul with the WDR Bigband. One of the most exciting festivals of the summer season North Sea Jazz Festival is a thrill for musicians as well as the audience. Fifteen indoor stages rock, croon, swing and fly with music from the whole spectrum of jazz. There's no end to the meeting, greeting and jamming. In July we offer our first two programs for broadcast while the 32nd North Sea Jazz Festival is underway in Rotterdam (7/13 to15). We'll provide two more in August. The four can be broadcast as part of the EJS series and also broadcast as a Labor Day special of one to four hours. Each program is self contained.
