Off The Beat's Victoria Chao brings us a closer look at "One Step Beyond," a new Liberian-produced radio show that may soon be broadcast in Rhode Island. The role of radio for Liberians has been shifting-- from a tool used for spreading revolutionary information, to one that helped to reunite families, and now, to a means of uniting Liberians at home and abroad. The Talking Drum studio, a Liberian radio group, hopes to get its show "One Step Beyond," hosted by John Kollie, on the airwaves in Rhode Island. (radio about radio!)
