Showmen's Rest

From: Shannon Heffernan
Length: 00:05:13

A tragic train crash, a memorial to circus folk, and a graveyard haunted by elephants. Read the full description.

Thumbelephant_small Forest Park is the last stop on the Chicago?s blue line subway. Famous for its plethora of graveyards, this suburb is also the final stop for many Chicagoans. In a place with more dead residents than living ones, one particular grave site catches visitor?s attention: Showman?s Rest, a graveyard for circus performers from around the world. The story of the graveyard goes back to a tragic circus train wreck in 1918. Good for Haloween or Memorial Day (with some edits to tweak the theme).
