From: Ben Markus
Length: 02:45

Sounds of the game and opinions of fans from a Minor League Baseball game in Sacramento, California Read the full description.

4933_small The Minor League Baseball season got underway April 5th this year in Sacramento, California as the River Cats held their opening day game against the Tacoma (WA) Rainiers. The Sacramento River Cats are one of the most successful pro baseball teams in the history of the Pacific Coast League. Over the last seven seasons the triple-A team won two championships and broke several attendance records (almost drawing a million fans one year). I hung out in the stands during an exhibition game against their parent team, the Oakland A's, a week before opening day, and put together this audio postcard. *Additional audio is a stand alone audio postcard (2:44) of more fan opinion, specifically on why Minor League baseball is special. It was offered as a web feature.
