Shortly after Hurricane Katrina hit, Peter Spring packed up his piano business and came to New Orleans to help rebuild the city's many flood damaged pianos. He got the much needed pianos to churches, schools and clubs. This is an update on his continuing efforts to help the school band program at Douglas High School, located in the upper Ninth Ward. Peter's love of Jazz and dedication to humanity is truly inspiring. The hope is that this piece will help people understand the need for citizen involvment not only for the rebuilding of the city of New Orleans, but also for the importance of community involvment in the education of our children in all places. If you would like to help Peter Spring and the kids of New Orleans please contact the Steven Spring Foundation at: www.stevenspring.org Hide full description
