Instead, they're taking a cue from the United States and Britain, where stand-up comedy has a long tradition. Mike M?hlberger has this report on the Teutonic comedy boom. Segment 2 - Mushroom Music The Czech composer Vaclav Halek has developed the rather unusual composing style of listening to wild mushrooms. With his "special gift", Halek has composed more than 2000 pieces of music, including orchestral pieces, film scores and even a full symphony. Rob Cameron joined the unorthodox composer for an inspiring walk through the woods. Segment 3 - The Well Heeled Gansta Rapper Chooses Cognac Until recently, the cognac business was in what seemed like terminal crisis. But now help has arrived from a most expected quarter to revive the fortunes of one of France's most venerable businesses, as John Laurenson reports? Segment 4 - Germany Opens Academy of Pop Music A new school in Germany is teaching the next generation of Britneys, Justins and Christinas about how to make it in the world of pop. They not only get tips on harmony, melody and lyric writing, but their students also learn how to negotiate the right contract.
