Producer Liliana Bola?os was born in El Salvador and has been in the U.S. for almost four years. 2006 was a turning point in her life. At the beginning of the year she was confused about who she was; worried that she was losing part of her identity by adapting to American culture. Then Liliana found El Kilombo Intergalactico, a collective space inspired by the philosophies of the Zapatistas and the Black Panthers. The piece details the collective's unique approach to social change and it's impact on Liliana.
