Piece Description
For the show about the slang word "crib", we wanted to know more about the reality of house ownership. So we created an imaginary scenario. In the scenario, it's about six years into the future, and "Crystal", 16 - who's been in and out of juvenile hall and has gotten expelled from all district schools - has cleaned up her act enough to get married to her current boyfriend and is planning to buy a house! Century 21 agent Carol Collins agreed to play the role of Crystal's realtor and take her around to see houses... What you are about to hear are the highlights of their trip... (Something important to know is that one area they visit, "Southwest Santa Rosa", is widely considered "Sureno" gang territory. Crystal would be seen by "Surenos" as an enemy, as she's seen to associate with the rival gang "Nortenos". But they also visit a neighborhood, "South Park", which is considered "Norteno".)
