A vox pop of teenage plans and schemes for what they'd do if they took over the White House. Great for Presidents' Day. Sample responses include: "Break down the borders!" "Free dance classes!" "Get rid of all the gangbangers!" "First woman president!" At Curie Youth Radio, a workshop at Curie High School on Chicago's Southwest Side, students write, record, and produce their own pieces about everything from snowball fights to gang warfare. We work with ProTools, and we collect our sound from our high school hallways, our families' kitchen tables, and anywhere else the train takes us.

Review of Teen Vox Pop: If I Were PresidentEverything shines in this lively youthful production! It's inspiring to hear youthful voices air their concerns in one sentence responses to the idea of what they would do as President. The choice of background music is alive and keeps the pace moving so that by the end, you want to hear more of what this younger generation has to say. There were some better ideas in two minutes than what has been coming out of Washington for years now. |

Review of Teen Vox Pop: If I Were President
If these youth were the President of the United States progress would come in ways we have never imagined. This short vox pop tells what some young people would do if they were president. Its quite intriguing.
