Description:

Full Text: "Hey, I'm Jad Abumrad from Radio Lab. Think for a minute about the invisible infrastructure of radio.

When I speak into this mic right here the sound travels through some wires, under the floors, over to a microwave dish, which beams the signal to a tower, which sends it up into the ionosphere where it bounces back and into your radio where out pops a familiar voice.

It's all invisible, and most of the time, you don't think about it.

Today we want you to think about it. When you make a pledge you are supporting the technology that makes radio go.

And not just for you. For everybody else too. Your gift is a gift to everyone else who listens.

That should make you feel pretty good.

So, do you wanna feel good today ? Here's the number to call."
