Hey, I'm Jad Abumrad from Radiolab.
Think for a minute about the invisible infrastructure of radio. When I speak into this mic right here the sound travels through some wires, under the floors, over to a microwave dish, which beams the signal to a tower, which sends it up into the ionosphere where it bounces back and into your radio where out pops a familiar voice. It's all invisible, and most of the time, you don't think about it.
Today we want you to think about it. When you make a pledge you are supporting the technology that makes radio go. And not just for you. For everybody else too. Your gift is a gift to everyone else who listens. That should make you feel pretty good. So, do you wanna feel good today?

Jad and Robert always have such great pitches which are excellently produced. They make pledge drives fun!
