Lastofthegreatms3_small "The Last Of The Great Mississippi Delta Bluesmen" was recorded at a remarkable concert in 2004 in Dallas, featuring Robert Lockwood (age 89), Honeyboy Edwards (age 89), Pinetop Pekins (age 91), and Henry Townsend (age 94). Since then, both Lockwood and Townsend have died. The CD was issued by the Blue Show Project, started by Jeff Dyson and his son Mike Dyson, whose comments are part of this feature-- talking about the album, and the work of The Blue Shoe Project, a nonprofit organization in Texas devoted to sharing and preserving the music of aging artists and bringing them into the schools to share their art and their life experiences with children.
