The President's State of the Union address mentioned a few plans to combat this problem in the US ....but it was couched in terms of energy security rather than outright environmentalism. Joining us today to discuss some solutions for global warming and also weigh in on the State of the Union remarks is Joseph Romm. Mr. Romm's new book is Hell and high water: Global Warming the Solution and Politics and What we should do. Mr. Romm served as assistant Secretary of the Department of Energy during the Clinton Administration where he headed the Office of Energy Efficiency and Renewable Energy and how is the executive director o the Center for Energy and Climate Solutions.
