Peace Talks Radio: Crime, Punishment and Forgiveness (58:00 / 54:00 or Two 29:00 programs)
Series: Peace Talks Radio: Hour Long Specials
From: Good Radio Shows, Inc.
Length: 00:57:46
Peace Talks: The radio series about peacemaking and nonviolent conflict resolution strategies.
This is one of many newscast friendly hours that are currently available from Good Radio Shows, Inc. and producer Paul Ingles.
In a small town in Northern New Mexico, one young man shoots and kills three young men. While everyone expects conflict or even more violence between the families of the young men, something very different happens. The killer's father and the father of one of the victims make peace and team up for change.
Then later, two former prison inmates talk about finding peace within themselves behind bars and starting again in a society that isn't always ready to make peace with their pasts.
The two parts of this program are also available as discrete half hours elsewhere on PRX.
