Who put out the best new releases of 2006?
Depends.
Ask the critics at the big national music magazines, and you'll hear some predictable names...Beck, the Decemberists, Neko Case, Gnarls Barkley, Bob Dylan...
All good albums, make no mistake- but this year, several Texas artists wound up on critics top ten lists.
So we're going to focus on the best new releases from the Lone Star State.
We're going to hear an hour of fantastic music, with commentary from Music Journalists Joe Gross of the Austin American Statesman, Darcie Stevens of the Austin Chronicle, and KUT's own Kory Cook, assistant music director.
