Review of Battleship Missouri Memorial

One of those pieces that you listen to when you need a refreshing look at peace and war. The USS Missouri is an iconic figure in both ideals. Reporter does a great job in tying in familiar voices of history to help the listener visualize the life and times of the Mighty Mo. Perfect timing so the world will not only honor the end of WWII on Sept.2, but so we can relate our past to our future.

Review of Battleship Missouri Memorial

Well-structured, tightly written and nicely narrated, this news drop-in is full of interesting anecdotes about the Battleship Missouri. There's also good use of sound including brief historic archive recording of General MacArthur. The speakers are engaging and I'd prefer to have heard more of them and a little less of the reporter. But still a perfect addition to Labor Day weekend programming to commemorate Sept 2 anniversary of the Japenese surrender ending WWII.
