Osbornebrothers1_small The Osborne Brothers: From Hyden to the Ryman Bgrass, Inc. and WNKU-FM are pleased to announce availability of a new radio documentary on the careers of Bluegrass Hall of Honor members Bobby and Sonny Osborne. "The Osborne Brothers: From Hyden to the Ryman" is a two-hour broadcast event that presents the music and history of these remarkable artists. Hosted by Grady Kirkpatrick, program director of Northern Kentucky University's public radio station WNKU, the documentary includes commentary by Bobby Osborne, Sonny Osborne, Fred Bartenstein, Tom Teepen, and Art Menius. You'll hear stories of their musical roots in Hyden, Kentucky; their childhood move to Dayton, Ohio; their early career, culminating in their induction into the cast of the Grand Ole Opry; and the 30-plus years they've spent in the top ranks of bluegrass and country artists. The program includes a generous helping of the Osborne Brothers music, including Ruby, Once More, Kentucky, and Rocky Top. The program is offered at no charge to all broadcast media worldwide, both commercial and noncommercial, as an outreach of Bgrass, Inc., a nonprofit organization that preserves and celebrates bluegrass music and its heritage in the Cincinnati/Dayton region. It can be aired as a two-hour block or as a two-part series. Each hour is 59:00. There are 60-second music beds in the middle of each hour, a 30-second promo spot for the show, and a 30-second promo for hour two.
