Description:

Alex Kahn and Sophia Michahelles run Superior Concept Monsters, the official puppeteers of the village Halloween parade. Their giant puppets (as high as 15 feet and as long as a tractor trailer!) lead the procession of revelers through the streets of New York City, but the puppets themselves are constructed upstate, in an old milk barn along the Hudson River. We visited the couple as they were preparing this year's collection, all centered around the theme of the "village hearth." You'll get a chance to learn the origins of the Jack O' Lantern, hear the sounds of the puppets in action, and get a preview of this year's festivities.
