Review of Santa's BarberProducer Philip Graitcer has found a unique twist on a holiday theme with this soft feature about a hairdresser that specializes in preparing the hair and beards of Santa's from around the country. The piece consists of narration interspersed with vox pops from the hairdresser and various customers at her shop in a strip mall. The narration is very well written and the interview cuts are good. I thought that the high volume of background sound on the interviews fading up and out and under at various times was a bit distracting and called attention to itself at times, but overall, the piece is highly listenable. |

Review of Santa's BarberAre you serious? I truly loved this story. I never thought that a place like this has even existed. You have now given me another fact that other people DONOT know. I was amazed at the fact that so many people go out there way to look like Santa. Your story sounded very oringinal and I liked that. I also liked the fact that you were able to interview the barber with the sound in the backround or was that perfect editing? Regardless it was a suprising piece. |

Only this shop is full of Santas?sitting under dryers, getting their hair and beards bleached and styled, and exchanging Santa tricks of the trade. Shop co-owner, Joyce Beisel, is one of Santa?s most important helpers.

Review of Santa's Barber
Great piece for the upcoming season! I can fully understand why they are so picky. My uncle plays Santa Claus every year and won't even let his WIFE touch his hair.
