Homelessvet_small Today is Veterans? Day, when the nation honors members of its military services. But while some veterans are being honored, others have been forgotten. Their uniforms now are worn-out jeans and baggy sweatshirts. They wear winter coats and scarves, even though the temperature is 60 degrees. On their backs some carry packs ? actually gym bags and plastic sacks ? filled with their worldly possessions. They are veterans, and they are all homeless. This feature was selected as the "Best Feature - 2005" by the Georgia AP Broadcasters - Class A Station
