Wayne Gilchrist, the Republican Congressman from the First District in Eastern Maryland, is a veteran of the Vietnam War. A Marine sergeant who was severely wounded in 1967, Wayne is one of six sons who grew up in New Jersey, four of whom served in the military and three of whom were in Vietnam at the same time.
Radio host Marc Steiner met with Congressman Gilchrist and four of his brothers at Wayne's house in Kennedyville, Maryland, and talked about their experiences during the war. As it turned out, it was the first time they had ever spoken together about the war, one of those unusual features, not uncommon among veterans, to have kept quiet about their experience. Please join Marc and the Gilchrist brothers for a compelling and moving hour.
