Piece Description

Guy Davis grew up in New York City, the son of prominent actors in theatre and film, Ossie Davis and Ruby Dee. Guy has followed their footsteps to Broadway and to televison, but he has also drawn on their rural origins, especially his father's family roots in Georgia, in becoming a blues musician. His seventh album, "Skunkmello" was recently issued on the Red House label, and in this program he plays songs from it and talks about his life and music.
