Piece Description

After more than three decades on the road as a one man band, Adolphus Bell has an album out. The Music Maker Foundation's label has issued his album "One Man Band" after the Foundation's board president, folklorist Tim Duffy, spotted Bell's colorfully painted van on the highway. The CD is Bell's long overdue debut and offers a taste of his shows.

Review of Blues File: Adolphus Bell, the One Man Band

A brief aural snapshot of the not so glamorous history of a surviving one man band. I listened to this to decide whether to go out and see Adolphus Bell. I know little about one man bands, and this clip gave me a too-short listening experience. I wasn't blown away, but both the music and the review were honest.
