Review of The Local Option - Mental Health and Suicide

This piece features two well-produced stories about death and suicide. Both stories do a good job of exploring suicide and depression through strong radio storytelling, including engaging production techniques. The strong storytelling helped to keep me engaged and really listen for the messages of the story. Covering death, suicide and depression is a challenge, and both these stories approach the subjects in a way that will capture listeners attention.

For PDs, this would fit well into a showcase slot. You could also pair it with another 23-29 minute piece to fill a hour-long showcase or holiday slot.
