Cahw8rhx_small The provisional postmark from an envelope mailed in 1847 is the stuff of legend, at least for stamp collectors. It's called the "Blue Boy" and it last sold 26 years ago for $1 million. It was recently on display at Washington 2006, the World Philatelic Exhibition. This story is not about the stamp, but about the original letter, long-rumored to be a gushing marriage proposal. It's a reflective reporter-driven piece that orginally aired on "Weekend America" 5/27/06.
