Default-piece-image-0 Tonight, as Jewish families across the world gather with their families for Passover dinner, some of them are using Rabbi Michael Lerner?s Passover guide. This month?s edition of his magazine, Tikkun, includes a Passover service. It encourages Jews to think not only of the Jewish exodus from Egypt in their commemmoration of the Passover holiday, but of people of all faiths, in modern-day conflicts. Michael Lerner?s point resonates with his broader message: that social justice is part of religious and spiritual practice. And not only that, but that progressives in America are in dire need of a spiritual renewal. Lerner says the right doesn't own religion. Lerner?s latest book is "The Left Hand of God: Taking Back Our Country from the Religious Right." He spoke at Third Place Books in Lake Forest Park, Washington on February 26th, 2006.
