For more than thirty years, Seattle has been a public art mecca. The Seattle Art Museum hopes its new Olympic Sculpture Park will be the jewel in the city?s public art crown. But even though the Sculpture Park won?t open until mid 2006, for the past year the Museum has been under attack for what it?s chosen to include in its Park, and for what won?t be there. Is there a difference between public art and art in a public place? KUOW?s Marcie Sillman has this report in our weeklong series, "Going Public".
