Description:

Jonathan Katz is best known as a somewhat inadequate therapist from an animated sitcom. That show, Dr. Katz, Professional Therapist, ran for five years on Comedy Central; it featured squiggly computer animation and long pauses, and it helped make animation cool again.

Jonathan is not a therapist; he is a comedian. On stage he tells jokes and stories and some things that are neither jokes nor stories, they're just funny in a way you can't always figure out. In 1997 he was diagnosed with multiple sclerosis; his response has been to introduce the word "neurologist" into his act.

Recently he performed at Jimmy Tingle's Off Broadway Theatre in Somerville Massachusetts, mixing clips from his career and a frank discussion of the merits of motorized scooters.
