Given current redistricting conflicts across the country, this timely and timeless report is a useful overview of the issue. No music, just straight ahead narrative with various voices laying out their concerns about race, representation and voter apathy. A good piece to air prior to local voter registration deadlines.

Many voters say they don't participate in elections because they don't believe their vote counts. In a vast majority of district elections in this country, they may have a point. Many districts are so heavily Democratic or Republican, the other party can only offer token opposition. Scott Jagow, from member station WFAE in Charlotte, reports on how districting impacts our democracy.
