Piece Description
A gently recounted happy childhood, in whicih a boy thinks like a cowboy and makes inventions. David Greenberger tells the tale based on a conversation with Gene Weaver. From the 2003 CD, Mayor of the Tennessee River, with music by the Chattanooga-based ensemble, Shaking Ray Levis (Pronounced like the jeans). Artist David Greenberger has been collecting the thoughts, memories and stories from elderly Americans for more than a quarter century. Genuine, moving, and often funny, combined with music, the pieces explore issues of aging by revealing real characters that are in decline, but are still very much alive. They reveal the common threads of our humanity.

Review of Wonderful Life
I like this piece a lot. It's simple, well-written and nicely produced.
I like the simple, conversational writing and the music in the background.
This piece would fit well into a local or national news magazine. Especially a weekend magazine or a program like Weekend America.
