Description:

Walter Mosley is the author of 19 critically acclaimed books, translated into 21 languages. In addition to his popular "Easy Rawlins" mysteries, (Devil in a Blue Dress), Mosley has written literary fiction (RL's Dream, Always Outnumbered,Always Outgunned, and Walkin' the Dog), science fiction, and nonfiction. In 2003, he was the guest editor for "The Best American Short Stories". Two novels have been filmed, including Jonathan Demme's "Devil in a Blue Dress" starring Denzel Washington, and "Always Outnumbered" with Laurence Fishburne. He has won the Anisfield Wolf Award, a Grammy (for work with Richard Pryor), a Sundance "Risktaker Award", and an O Henry Award for his short fiction.
