The novel, Greenberg's 14th, explores Obsessive Compulsive Disorder and, in ploughing through the more vulnerable sides of human nature, is not a million miles away from her most famous work, 'I Never Promised You a Rose Garden'. That semi-autobiographical book described a harrowing journey through mental illness to recovery. Greenberg recently sat down with KGNU's Claudia Cragg to explain the themes and methodologies of her writing. Greenberg, who personally in recovery and ever since shunned all pharmaceuticals, orthodox and otherwise, shares her thoughts on Timothy Leary, Sylvia Plath and induced creativity.at a time when professionals are once again touting LSD, Magic Mushrooms as treatment for some types of mental illness, 'Appearances', is published in paperback by Montemayor Press of New Jersey and is widely available in bookstores.
