Students at the Alliance Francaise, the French Institute of New York did just that. They gathered in midtown Manhattan for a special kind of French lesson: a karaoke 'sing-off', in French, of course.

Producer Sarah Elzas caught up with them as they gathered in midtown Manhattan for a special kind of French lesson: a karaoke 'sing-off' against members of the UN French department.

Review of Karaoke ? la fran?aise
Chantez-vous fran?ais? An enjoyable look at students at the Alliance Fran?aise in New York using karaoke to practice their French.
What is interesting is that some of them are not native English speakers. The are learning French as an additional language. It goes to show that French, like karaoke, is international.
