Weekday High

Weekday High is the high school internship program of KUOW Public Radio in Seattle. Students chosen for the Weekday High School Internship Program spend part of their summer learning about radio reporting and broadcasting, with the goal of producing their own radio stories. Weekday Host Steve Scher, Managing Editor Nathan Friend, and Assistant Managing Editor Irene Noguchi work closely with the interns, helping them learn and master the tools of radio journalism. Workshops led by many of KUOW's news and programming staff also help prepare the students for a further exploration into the world of reporting and producing.
