WBUR's Listen Up

Attendees will be taken on a journey, transported to other places and times – immersed in sounds, voices and powerful stories. We’ll be listening to a fascinating assortment of audio stories about the act of listening itself. What happens to us, psychologically, when we hear familiar sounds? Why does listening feel so deeply personal? And why aren’t we better at listening to one another? The evening’s program will draw from recently produced radio work and highlight some outstanding older audio storytelling from a wide range of independent producers.
