American Student Radio was founded in September 2011 to give all students the opportunity to produce respectful, honest journalism, with their peers, for everyone. ASR is housed at the Indiana University School of Journalism and all student members have access to input input from national, award-winning professionals. While holding to professional, journalistic standards, students enjoy the freedom to craft content based on their location, interests and abilities. High school and college students across the country are invited to to report and produce podcasts and participate in this national classroom of cultural ideas.
