"Ear-opening...audio dynamite!" (Peabody awards)

Battery Radio is an audio and radio production house headed by Chris Brookes. We create documentaries, features, and music and comedy series, as well as place-based fiction and non-fiction locative audio apps.  Our productions have been broadcast around the world, and have won multiple awards including the Peabody and the Prix Italia.

Our studio is at the bottom of the cliff where Marconi received the world's first trans-Atlantic radio signal in 1901.
