Radio Rootz is a youth radio program in New York City. Rootz teaches classes in radio production and media literacy in New York City's public high schools and middle schools. Rootz students make hilarious, serious, thoughtful and creative pieces on subjects from Reggaeton to immigration to the Catholic church. We contribute to Free Speech Radio News, and our work airs regularly on Wakeup Call, the morning news show at WBAI 99.5 FM in New York. Radio Rootz is a project of People's Production House, New York's comprehensive media justice organization.
