Find it. Hear it. Air it.

One of the aspects of the 'This I Believe' canon is how different the 'originals' are from the contemporary ones we have heard on public radio in the last year. The 1950s versions frequently address religious beliefs. I bet some creative programmers could play some TIBs back-to-back and get listeners to call in live with their beliefs, and discuss what our collective certainties tell us about the age we live in.

Vermont Public Radio tackles soldiers' stories on their return from Iraq. You don't need a date peg to air this relevant chronicle. PRX enjoys highlighting award-winning radio: check out the featured piece from Homelands Productions (and many, many more...).

A big welcome to Soundprint! New work being posted with room for network newscasts.

Preview, download, air.

MICHAEL JOHNSON'S EDITORIAL BOARD PICK

Vietnam and the Presidency
American Public Media, 60:00
More than 30 years after the Vietnam War ended, Americans are still grappling with questions of why it was fought, and how it was lost.

"This feature should run as a noontime special at the beginning of the week, and then repeated twice on different evenings later during the week. You'll save the trouble of having your listeners calling the station asking you to repeat the program." - Editorial Board member Michael Johnson
